Monofloral Honey

Single flower honeys, also known as monoclonal or unifloral, is nectar collected from a single type of flower. Beehives are placed in valleys of single flowers like a tulsi orchard or a karanj mountain or a litchi plantation. Bees feed on nectar from just the one type of flower and the honey thus collected retains aroma and taste of the source flower. Texture and colour also differ. Litchi is a golden, sunlit honey whereas karanj is a darker and richer. The intense herbal character of tulsi honey is healing and restorative with strong notes of the tulsi. Different honeys have different medicinal benefits.

Multifloral Honey

A spoonful of this honey contains the precious nectar of a thousand rare forest flowers from the native plants, ancient trees and forest herbs. The flavours are woody and reminiscent of wild flowers and berries. The forest origin of this honey makes it extremely rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Collected from forest beekeepers, this honey is a burst of flavours on your palette.

Purity, Process, Traceability

Raw honey is sourced from across the length & breadth of the Indian subcontinent. On an average a village beekeeper manages 100-200 hives in a single apiary. Part of the process involves the beekeeper taking out each frame from a hive and checking for maturity. This honey collected by the village bee keepers are stored in food grade storage barrels and marked with location, beekeeper and floral details. This marking is preserved for traceability throughout the process of purification - which is filtration, homogenisation and dehumidification. Each batch is put through rigorous testing and must pass the stringent FSSAI and NMR testing before reaching the consumer.
